Oasis at Target Center

The band Oasis will be coming to the Target Center Minneapolis on Wednesday, December 10th to promote their new album “Dig Out Your Soul.” This will be the bands first US tour in 3 years and is following a record setting tour in the UK that sold over 180,000 Oasis tickets within an hour of going on sale – that’s crazy!

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals will be opening for Oasis at the Target Center. Minneapolis music fans will remember when Ryan Adams played at the Cedar Cultural Center awhile back and the show sold out immediately. Ryan Adams has his own fan base here in Minnesota and you can bet Ryan Adams fans will be scooping up tickets to see him perform in the big arena. Section 113 or 129 will provide the best stage views unless you can get Target Center tickets in the first 10 rows on the floor.

I heard that the Xcel had bid on this gig and lost it to the Target Center. I am sure it is going to be a great show and the Xcel is going to wish they had placed a sweeter deal on the table. The Target Center has been a hot spot of Twin Cities entertainment this year!

Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center

The Minnesota Timberwolves have quite a few home games coming up the next few weeks. In fact if you check out the Target Center Schedule, you will notice one Timberwolves game after another in the next few weeks. Biggest Game? A week from today when the Timberwolves host the Boston Celtics. Kevin Garnett back in Minneapolis, the Timberwolves definitely have something to prove since he has already proved he is Championship material.

You can buy Timberwolves Tickets from a number of places, but as far as brokers go, I would go with the Timberwolves Tickets web site – they seem to be the cheapest.

Radio City Spectacular at Target Center

The Xcel Energy Center may have the Trans Siberian Orchestra show, but the Target Center has the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. I saw the dazzling beauties on the local news last night surrounding Santa at the Mall of America and I immediately got online to find out when I could bring the family to the show.

It turns out that the Radio City Christmas Spectacular is at the Target Center for three days starting today and running through Sunday. Target Center ticket prices don’t look too bad and I know this will be a great way to kick off the holiday season – get it? KICK-OFF??? Ok, it’s a lame joke aimed at seeing those Rockettes do their eye-high kicks and precision choreography.

I read this blurb about the show and thought I would share: “Families will be delighted and touched as Santa flies high above the crowd, snow falls inside and the true meaning of Christmas comes to life in the awe-inspiring Living Nativity."

I woke up this morning to snow and I decided it is time to get in the Holiday Spirit. Going to the Target Center to see the Radio City Christmas show is the perfect beginning to the 2008 Holiday Season.
